Description
Based on the documents I've found in the University of Toyko's online Yuzuru Hiraga archive:
forum.worldofwarships.eu/index…
I've recreated these Myoko preliminary studies. While the original Myoko's design life started as a 4 twin turreted heavy cruiser (3 forward, 1 aft) soon Hiraga proposed to add a 5th turret aft, increase AA armament to 6 single 12cm guns and removal of torpedoes, apparently he was played with the idea and with the numbers to mount triple and even quad turrets on the Myoko!
This cruiser while slightly shorter of only 198,12m compared to the 203,8m and had thinner belt armour of 89mm compared to the 102mm of Myoko it does carried a heavier armament of 12 20cm guns in well armoured triple or quad turrets.
Here you see how the Myoko class would look like if to be finished to these armament layouts and in late WW2.

That looks like the kind of super cruiser the Alaska-class was designed to hunt down.
