Description
Mainstray cruiser type of the Earth Defence Forces at the time of the Gamillas war, these vessels received an upgrade pack after Yamato returned from it's voyage to Iscandar.
The program initiated the following changes:
Replace the bow mounted 20cm shock cannon with a larger 28cm one, replacing the ineffective Twin 20cm Postron beam turrets with more powerful 20cm Twin Shock cannon turrets. Replace the CIWS gun mounts with 76mm twin and quad Pulse laser turrets as well as a pair of twin 12,7cm heavy pulse laser turrets drastically increase the ship anti strikecraft and anti-missile capability.
A pair of single torpedo tubes added aft to improve the ships fighting capability in the aft section or when chased.
The new Wave Motion engine, power core and shield generator drastically improved the usefulness and survivability of the class providing the EDF fleet versatile ship type until new classes emerge.
In the end the refit's new weapon system as follows:
1x1 28cm shock cannon
3x2 20cm shock cannons,
2x2 12,7cm heavy pulse lasers,
1x4,5x2 76mm pulse lasers,
6x torpedo tubes.

I looked at the canon stats of this thing,... it's overall length is 152 meters. To me, that's at least as big as a Arleigh Burke or Kongo-class destroyer in real life. But still, a nice to look at after it's refit.
