hmm, well, to tell you the truth, i'm not very good either, but the best tip i can give you would be to set up an area somewhere for taking your picture. when i photographed my ship, i used black fabric to section off an area of a table. i covered the walls too. as for the rest, just a few minutes with photoshop can make a big difference. it takes a bit of practice, but it never hurts to put a bit of time into editing.

If I got that much LEGO....
I used all my normal bricks to construct the Emperor of India. I always build one large LEGO Vehicle or a few smaller ones.
Maybe I can do it in miniature version maybe.

A few days and I will finish my new LEGO ship project. This new ship will be a ww1 era Iron Duke class Battleship HMS Emperor of India. Hope you will enjoy it.
